ABS Community Research was founded in 2001, and to date has advocated for nonprofit beneficiaries across multiple sectors both domestically and abroad. ABS was originally established to support partnership development between justice, health and human services, education, and labor sectors. In 2009, ABS expanded to advocating for more nonprofit beneficiaries including agriculture, alternative energy, water, human rights, democracy, anti-corruption, anti-terrorism, and more. ABS has provided voluntary and charitable consulting assistance in public relations, finance, compliance, operations, strategic planning, fundraising, diplomacy, government relationships for NGOs in the U.S. and almost all continents.
In the nonprofit sector, there are literally millions more small groups than there are the few thousand larger institutions. ABS Community Research provides dedicated support to the smaller NGOs which do not have access to institutional level resources, by supporting advancement of those smaller groups through provision of administrative tools, resources, and partnerships. There is strength in numbers, and measurable exponential growth when relationships are sound and forward moving, in tandem and shared mission.
The millions of NGOs around the world have extraordinary talent, capability, relationships, and local impact. However, the need is always constant and great, far above and beyond what many of the few major institutions can achieve. ABS actualizes the extraordinary contributions that the local organizations make to positively impact their communities, and fosters a long-term and ongoing development cycle for continuing growth and stability. ABS objective is for the local NGO world to be empowered with institutional capabilities at smaller scales.
